The first stop in our tour? Mong Kok. This is a buzzing maze of narrow streets known for shopping and plants and colorful blooms fill the Flower Market. Nearby, the Temple Street Night Market is a mix of curiosities, fortune tellers, and food stands. Foodies will love to explore the area's street food stalls, tea houses, and casual eateries.
Next, we'll continue our tour to the Bird Garden, located on Yuen Po Street. There, you can see a wide variety of songbirds. Did you know songbirds have always been an important part of traditional Chinese culture? Let's find out why!
Our next stop will be the Goldfish Market, where Hong Kong people go to buy luck-bringing goldfish and other tropical aquarium pets.
Following our visit to the Goldfish Market, we'll go to the Flower Market, just a few minutes on foot from the Prince Edward MTR station. This is one of the most colorful places in Hong Kong, and it never fails to amaze visitors.
But don't worry, we haven't forgotten about one of the best highlights of this city: its food markets. We'll have the chance to taste unique snacks and drinks to fully immerse ourselves in the food market culture. We'll also explore many temples in the area to admire their beautiful architecture.
Finally, we'll head to the Ladies Market, the most popular street market in Hong Kong! This bustling street is crammed with stalls that sell all sorts of things, like clothes, bags, toys, and many other various knick-knacks – the perfect place to pick up a souvenir! It's here where we'll end the tour after spending 2 to 2.5 hours exploring the streets of Kowloon.
